It’s a "gift-ready" experience that requires no extra wrapping.

Do you offer gift-ready packaging?

Yes. Every order from our Classic or Holiday Collections arrives in a sturdy, sophisticated gift box designed to be kept. We apply our ribbons to the top and bottom separately so the decoration remains perfectly intact even after the host opens the box. Many of our clients reuse our boxes as keepsakes for years.

How long do your cookies stay fresh?

Because we use high-quality, pure ingredients and traditional methods, our shortbread and pecan bars have an excellent shelf life of several weeks at room temperature. This makes them the ideal gift for hosts who may already have plenty of fresh food to consume on the night of an event.

The sweets have a great shelf life. They can be eaten for at least a few weeks, although they rarely last that long! They can be refrigerated for a much longer time and some people freeze them.

Can I customize a gift for a dinner party or event?

Absolutely. We offer everything from $9.95 Guest Favours (perfect for place settings) to our grand 78-piece Signature Boxes. We also include a hand-written personal gift card at no extra charge to ensure your sentiment is delivered authentically.

Where can I pick up a gift in Toronto?

Our boutique is located at 882 Millwood Rd in Leaside. We often operate "by chance or appointment" to give our corporate and event clients focused attention. If the lights are on, please come in! We recommend calling 416-422-3353 to ensure we have your preferred box size ready for you.

Can I customize my box/design?

Our gift boxes are designed as Classic which means that unless it is a special holiday, i.e. Christmas, Valentine's Day etc, they are created to be used for all occasions. The ribbon is applied to the top and bottom separately so that the decoration remains intact after being opened. Almost everyone reuses the box either to store things like photos or keepsakes or to send on to another recipient. We take great care to line the box with fancy parchment to keep it pristine.

We change our decor each year for special holidays since many clients have a collection of them and look forward to new designs.

We consider our designs to be appropriate for everyone but if you have a special request, we will endeavour to satisfy you.

In terms of sweets, we have a set combination of cookies and pecan bars because they have a good shelf life, offer a selection and fit the design of our boxes. If you have a special request, please ask and we will do our best.

Why shortbread?

We believe it is the Perfect Cookie! Delicate, melt in the mouth, pure butter, sugar and flour. We use a wooden spoon and hand roll it to keep the tenderness. We hand dip them in white or dark chocolate. Our pecan bars have a shortbread base. Every step is labour intensive. We take this slower route proudly!

Do you write on the cookies?

We are unable to personalize cookies in this way. They are too delicate and that's what we love about them.

How do you deliver?

We use a hand delivery courier for all GTA gifts. We deliver this way to Hamilton, Oakville, Burlington to the west and to Bowmanville etc in the east. All other deliveries are shipped via Canada Post or UPS. We have sent gifts to every province in Canada, the N.W.T. and to 49 states in the U.S. Our gifts have been personally delivered to Paris, Berlin, Nassau and Malta!

We may be able to deliver same day in the GTA if your order is received by 10 am. If you need it there faster, call and we can discuss rates.

Shipping rates are determined by size of package and the date required for it to be received.

How is the gift packaged?

All gifts are beautifully packaged in cello with a complementary ribbon for maximum first impression!

Can I include a personalized card?

Yes! We will hand write a personal gift card for you at no extra charge.

Do I have to buy a gift box?

No! We sell our cookies and pecan bars by the piece with no minimum. You might need dessert for your dinner party or you might just need a cookie for your tea!

When are you open?

We are open to the public any time we are in the shop. Our hours say "by chance or appointment" so that we can be available to meet with corporate clients and brides at their convenience.

We are happy to see you any time you are passing by but recommend calling to avoid that time when we have just stepped out. If the lights are on, though, come in!
